Hey! I'm Kaily! This blog is random thoughts and questions that come from the crazy, cluttered mind of mine. I have to thank a couple people first though. first off, this blog was made possible by Mrs. Waterbury, the bestest gifted Ed. teacher ever. Second, my friends and family, for the inspiration they give me.

Hey guys! I just got back from a crazy summer all over the US. I started it off with a Camp Half-blood of my own, with a bunch of friends. Then I went to Washington DC. AMAZING!! I would definitely go back. My next adventure, (and I assure you it was) was spending the remainder of the summer working at a Boy Scout camp. Yep! Surrounded by guys 24/7 and walking up and down hills in 100 degree weather. I LOVED every minute of it! I came back with some interesting stories, and lots of new skills. Then I came back and was proposed to at a church activity. (Keep in mind, I'm not legally old enough to get married...) My summer was definitely exciting, but enough about me, what did YOU do??

Kay, so my friends both have blogs and they have both done posts about their names. What they mean, other spellings, and other things with the same name. So, I decided I would too! (I'm not trying to copy or anything, I just think its a good idea.)
Kaily:
aka: Kaelea, Kaylee, Kaeli, Kailee, Kailey, Kaelee, Kaileigh, Kaleigh, Kayley, Kaley, and many more.
English meaning: keeper of the keys; pure
     German meaning: peaceful
     Hawiian: sea and sky
     Isreali: the laurel crown
Originates from the Gaelic word for social celebration. "Kailey" is Greek for rare beauty and in Welsh, it means slender. The form "Kaily", my actual name has a Hebrew origin as well which means crown or princess.
There is also a plastic company that has "Kaily" in it that specializes in robot vacuum cleaners.....not sure how I feel about that...  :/
There is an actress named Kaily Smith, who, BTW, looks NOTHING like me.

Did you Know?!?

Did you know.....
  • you burn 11 calories every hour you chew gum?
  • in the average lifetime, a person will walk the equivalent of 5 times around the equator?
  • the Eisenhower interstate system requires that one mile in every five must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in times of war or other emergencies.
  • each of the suits on a deck of cards represents the 4 major pillars of the economy in the middle ages: heart represents the church, spades represents the military, clubs represents agriculture, and diamond represents the merchant class.

End Time Ministries Part 2! - My Take

I went to http://www.endtime.com and looked at what they had to say. It seemed legitimate enough, but should you use it as fact? Using the criteria at http://olinuris.library.cornell.edu/print/4499 to judge this site, here is what I found:
Who wrote the page and can you contact him/her?
I couldn't find an author for this site, but there are phone numbers and addresses for a company.
How detailed is the information?
The information is pretty detailed, but is biased. This tells you it might be a mask for advertising.
What opinions are expressed by the author?
There are many opinions on this site and the are all about the end of the world like that is what they want you to hear at this moment.
When was it produced?
I did a little research and found a post from March, 1994. That might mean they have been like, "oh, the world is ending!" before and it hasn't.
I don't think this site would be good for factual information, it is to opinionated and because it is selling things, I wouldn't trust it.

End Time Ministries

https://www.endtime.com/
This website is all about the end of the world. It talks about the apocalypse, the antichrist, Islam, and the rapture. Is it real or not? Is it just for money, playing on people's fears? What do you think?

Gum Wrapper Dress?

Some of you may have been wondering why people are giving me all their gum wrappers. Yes, what you may have heard is true, I am going to make a gum wrapper dress. I have no clue how many wrappers I have right now, so don't ask. But I always need more! Feel free to just randomly come up to me and give me a wrapper and tell your friends!

Dream big!

I love to dream about my future. I want to live in Europe, visit New Zeland, adopt 4 kids, wear a duct tape dress to prom, and live in a big house. What are some of your dreams? I'd love to hear!

I just got back from visiting Utah. It is 1000 miles away and we drove all 16 hours. Where is the furthest place YOU have traveled? Where do you want to travel someday? Tell me!
